Repairing iPhone 5

I had a conversation with firstname@apple.com on Wednesday about iPhone 5. We were talking about the iPhone 5 design process. Apparently Apple is still looking for ways to make front glass replacement as easy as possible. I assumed that Apple Store Geniuses would be trained on replacing the front glass so they can perform the repair while customer waits.

One other thing that I learned from the conversation is that Apple’s Cupertino HQ is still in “lockdown” mode. I asked why iOS 6 had not made its way to Apple TV yet.

“It’s coming soon and there’s a good reason for that.”

I guess I’ll have to wait until October. Apple has iPhone 5 launch to worry about for now.
