RockMelt, it ain’t gonna happen!

I’ve heard about RockMelt “Social” Web Browser and was about to get an early access to it. Then I read this:

Access my basic information

Includes name, profile picture, gender, networks, user ID, list of friends, and any other information I’ve shared with everyone.

WSFT?

So I read RockMelt Privacy F.A.Q. and still I’m not convinced why it is necessary to get all the “basic” information of mine.

Well, I’m holding off until it becomes a public beta.
